Compost or manure as cost-effective nutrient sources for cabbage.

Cabbage responds well to steady feeding. Compost and well-rotted manure are both affordable choices that improve soil structure, feed the microbes in your soil, and help the crop grow more uniformly through the season.

Why these nutrients work

Compost improves soil texture and moisture retention
Well-decomposed manure gives a slow, steady nutrient release
Both materials support stronger root development

Using either option during early growth helps the plant establish quickly and stay healthy through head formation. Work it lightly into moist soil and water well afterwards so the nutrients reach the roots.

Spray copper fungicide on young avocado trees in the first weeks?

Copper fungicides are mainly used to protect against fungal and bacterial diseases such as anthracnose, leaf spots, and diseases favoured by wet conditions. Young avocado trees can be sensitive to copper, especially when:

The trees are newly transplanted and under stress.
Temperatures are very high.
The spray concentration is too strong.
Multiple copper applications are made in a short period.

If the trees look healthy and conditions are dry, wait and monitor. If conditions are wet and disease pressure is expected, a light preventive copper application can help protect new growth.
